본인은 19세기 영국 의학사를 주 전공으로 당시 의학 사상의 다양성을 특히 전일론적 (holistic) 의철학의 관점에서 연구해 왔음. 최근에는 19세기 유럽 국가들과 지중해 지역 국가들 사이의 의학 지식과  의학 사상이 새롭게 교류되고 재편되어 가는 과정을 연구하고 있음. 특히 팔레스타인 지역에서 전통 의학과 유럽의 의학이 어떤 식으로 조우하게 되고 어떤 방식으로 의학 관련 문화의 교류와 확산이 이루어졌는지를 살피고 있음. 

(I majored in British medical history during the Victorian period, where I explored the diversity of medical thought of the era, with a focus on a holistic medical paradigm. Recently, my research has delved into the exchange and reorganization of medical knowledge and ideas between European and Mediterranean countries in the nineteenth century. Specifically, I am examining the encounter between traditional local medicine and European medicine in the Palestinian region, as well as the processes of exchange and diffusion of medical and related cultures.)
